HERE GOES NOTHING

Alright, here goes nothing.

I said this year was going to be about taking risks.

Trying out new things and throwing caution to the wind with a "what the hell, why not" kinda attitude.

So here it goes

First blog post ever.

Unless you count that not-really-a-blog 'blog' I had for a blip in time as a college freshman on Tumblr that I may have only written one thing on....but I digress.

Why switch to a blog? Because social media drives me bananas. Facebook is a swamp and IG leaves me feeling defeated. Plus, I find I'm far too long winded for the audience (or the character limitations)...

Yet, I still enjoy sharing the behind the scenes things happening in the studio: what new work I'm creating or ideas I'm wrestling with or the millionth random creative rabbit trail I wandered down this week. Plus, I have been told that supposedly, many are interested in getting a peak behind the curtain at the inner workings of what it means to be a 'working artist'. (Or so 'they' say anyways...)

And so here we are.

A blog.

I have loosely set goals but absolutely no expectations for what this will be or where this will go. So, maybe view this experience as one that would be similar to what it would be like to take a peak inside my sketchbook and journal - only virtually - where you will almost certainly be met with a hodge-podge of reflections, daily recaps, a barrage of photos and of course, the occasional rant (because I would not be a proper Aries/Scorpio without at least a handful of those).
